Hangar-7 Reopening
Salzburg, 2025
Red Bull Hangar-7 at Salzburg Airport reopened on 4 June 2025 after several months of renovation — a venue conceived from the outset around the interplay of art, cuisine and aviation, with exhibition spaces given over to rotating contemporary positions.
For the opening, a digital sculpture was created on an LED surface spanning floor and wall as a single continuous image space. The work draws directly on [the piece by {artist – to be added} shown at Hangar-7], translating its visual language into a generative, large-scale moving image. The institution’s own exhibition context becomes the material of the work.
Alongside this, visuals were produced for the evening’s live acts — the DJ sets by Rampa (Keinemusik) and John Newman, and the breaking performance by Rubix — played out live indoors and outdoors.
The content was generated in TouchDesigner and output to the LED surfaces via Resolume Arena.
