As part of the KinoWeltWien exhibition, an interactive installation was developed to depict the history of Vienna’s cinema landscape between 1890 and 2020.

Via a touch table, visitors could filter a specially developed zoomable map by categories such as Aryanisation, premiere cinemas and time frame, in order to view the filtered cinemas.

For each of the 370 cinemas, images, key data and additional information were extracted from a database to present a digital profile as a projection opposite the touch table.
